VIRTUAL EVENT PARTICIPANT GUIDE
Welcome to the Bay Area Runners Club's 48th Annual Bay City St Patrick's Day Races presented by Jolt Credit Union!
Please read through this participant guide for answers to many questions participants may have to help make your packet pickup and race experience a great one.
If you have a question that is not answered in this guide, please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions page of the BayCityStPatricksDayRaces.com website.
There are some things we'd like to point out here as they are important and warrant close attention from participants:
Race Organizers have consulted with medical professionals and have determined the potential for exposure to Covid-19 or other pathogens at this packet pickup event is low. However, to reduce the likelihood of transmission we’d like to remind everyone attending this year’s event to wear masks, maintain social distancing, practice good hygiene and to please stay home if you’re not feeling well.
Run/Walk courses: As this is a virtual event, participants may run or walk any route they so choose. Just remember to practice good running procedure and stay to the left side of the road facing traffic if and when on roads. Obey traffic laws and run with a buddy!
Virtual time uploads:
Participants will receive a Virtual FAQ email race week briefly describing the virtual process, packet pick up location, dates and times, and additional information link
A Virtual Instructions email will also be sent on "Race Day" that details how to upload times and photos (if selected), and download finisher's certificates.
Race bibs, event shirts and medals will be distributed at one of 5 packet pickup events - Those who opted to pay the $8 shipping fee will have packets sent to them sometime race week. Everyone else must pick up (or have a friend pick up) race packets at one of 5 locations at the date/times listed below.
PACKET PICKUP LOCATIONS, DATES, & TIMES
A reminder that proceeds from this year’s virtual event will go to the following organizations helping some of those in the Great Lakes Bay Region hardest hit by the pandemic…
AWARDS
Unfortunately, awards will not be available for this year’s event due to the challenge of officiating participant race times and results.
